Political campaigns are often full of lofty claims and empty promises. What truly matters is the record: how someone has voted, the motions they’ve raised, and how they’ve treated others while in office.
My commitment to the residents of Woolwich is clearly shown through my voting record, council leadership, and my advocacy at the Regional level during my time as a Woolwich Councillor.
Arthur Street: Proven leadership at the Regional government level by advocating successfully to move up the Arthur Street repair and repaving timeline.
Other Elmira roads: Whipporwill Drive and Barnswallow Drive both repaved.
Train tracks: Pavement repaired at train tracks on Arthur Street South between Elmira and St. Jacobs.
Road Repairs
Voted AGAINST Property Tax increases and Salary Increases
Only Mayoral candidate to vote against property tax increases.
Only Mayoral candidate to vote against Mayor 24% salary increase and Council 15% salary increase (My interview with Mike Farwell on this topic begins at 24:50).
Property Tax Rate: Raised a motion to target property tax increases at the rate of inflation.
Bike Lanes: Adjusted the plans for downtown Elmira bike lanes to maintain a wide roadway and keep on-street parking by diverting the bike lanes to a parallel side street (My interview with Mike Farwell on this topic begins at 23:15).
Trees in the design: Arranged a Townhall evening to bring residents, committees, and Township staff together to collaborate and reach a solution to add multiple new trees to Elmira’s downtown redevelopment plan.

Enhanced Recreation and Green Spaces
Recreation services: Skate sharpener to be added at Woolwich Memorial Center.
Parks: Water bottle refill stations installed at Elmira parks and higher fencing installed at Bolender Park to separate the park from a heavy industrial area.
Enhanced green spaces: Multiple benches and trees added to parks
Accessibility: Arranged a curb-cutting to allow for sidewalk accessibility for a Woolwich resident who uses a wheelchair after the initial installation was not accessible for her.
Community safety: Lowered the speed limit on Snyder Avenue in Elmira down to 40km/h to protect children walking to local schools, and metal barriers were installed at the Woolwich Memorial Center pedestrian crossing.
Resident advocacy: Supported several Woolwich residents and businesses navigate the permit process with the Township office.
Breslau sewer and water bill advocacy: Raised a motion to have the Township pay the project cost for sewer and water work completed in a Breslau neighbourhood nearly a decade ago. This financial burden was largely unexpected as these homeowners received bills in 2025 after the work itself was completed back in 2016, when some residents did not even live in that neighbourhood (Learn more about my motion in this CTV News video clip at 2:20).
Supported local businesses: Raised several motions for bylaw and zoning changes to protect and support local businesses.
Housing: Changed accessory dwelling unit (ADU) basement height rules to allow residents to have more usable basement space in these additional units.
