Bonnie Bryant
Current Ward 3 Woolwich Councillor
I've had the privilege of working with Evan on Woolwich Township Council since 2022. Evan is reliable and hard-working and puts great effort into responding to the needs and concerns of residents in his Ward of Elmira. He frequently brings actionable strategies and ideas to the table at Council meetings to help solve problems raised by Woolwich residents or businesses. He has a sincere desire to see our Woolwich community thrive, and I know he will work hard as Mayor to make a positive impact across our township.

I’m proud to endorse Evan Burgess for Mayor. I've had the opportunity to work with Evan on several occasions including seeing his ability to navigate complex issues in town council meetings. What stands out most to me is how he listens and asks questions to understand the challenges faced by Woolwich businesses. He works hard to solve problems and bridge the gap between businesses and township staff. Evan provides the kind of leadership I believe our Woolwich community deserves. He is committed to seeing local businesses and residents succeed.

Evan's care and concern were evident when I contacted him about our family losing wheelchair access on our walkway with the construction in our neighbourhood. Evan took the time to help me understand the process in presenting to council, and we were thrilled when council agreed that wheelchair access was needed in our situation. I think Evan will be a fantastic mayor!

I am proud to offer my wholehearted support for Evan Burgess as he seeks election as Mayor of the Township of Woolwich. I was very impressed with the way he listened to the residents of our neighbourhood: George, High and Charles St., when staff proposed to significantly narrow our streets, taking away much needed parking. Evan was the only counselor that attended the pre-construction information meeting where the Township engineers presented their plans to the residents. Evan showed up, listened to us, and supported our concerns allowing the character of our neighbourhood to be preserved. I know that Evan will be responsive to local concerns and bring integrity, and hard work to the mayor’s office.

As a farmer, business owner, husband, and father, I believe it is essential to have a Mayor who demonstrates common sense and fiscal responsibility.
Evan grew up here in Woolwich. He understands the township, the people, and—most importantly—the needs and priorities of the community. He is humble yet confident: a steady leader who listens carefully, and consults others when appropriate. He combines empathy with practical, logical decision-making.
In a council meeting where we presented our concerns regarding a proposal, Evan was the first to speak up on behalf of the residents of Woolwich. He helped set the tone toward a sensible, consensus building resolution grounded in common sense. I was impressed by his calm demeanor and his unwavering commitment to the people of Woolwich and the community he calls home.
His record and his platform shows that he is fiscally responsible, principled, and humble. He is what we need as Mayor of Woolwich. He will get my vote.
